Giuseppe Russo is Chief Technologist for Systems Line of Business at Oracle Italy. Before joining Oracle he was Chief Technology Officer at Sun Microsystems Italy. He is also member of Scientific Committee at “Cloud Security Alliance” (CSA) Italian Chapter.
At Oracle Giuseppe works into EMEA Chief Technologist Group and the main topics he covers are Cloud Computing, Datacenter Innovation and Security. Before to join Oracle he worked for Sun Microsystems, Bull, Finsiel.
Giuseppe has got a Master Degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Cryptography, Security and Coding Theory. He works on ICT since 1987.
During the 2006 Giuseppe has been member of the scientific committee for the Network & System Security Conference, held at CNR Pisa.
During the 2005 Giuseppe has been Coordinator and Team Leader of the working group “Managing Local Emergency” hosted by Istituto Superiore delle Comunicazioni. He has been also the Chairman of the “Conference on Network & Communication Services in the Civil, Humanitarian and Emergency Fields” hosted by the Camera dei Deputati (Italian House of Representatives)
During the 2004 Giuseppe has been Invited Speaker at “2° International Summer School on Network & Security” organized by CERIAS Purdue University and University of Milan. There he gave a course on “Anonymity and pseudo-anonymity protocols”.
Giuseppe has been author of several papers, co-author of a book and he given many speeches both in Italy and in USA.
