The Nobel Prize-winner for Economics, Amartya Sen will take part in the 21st edition of FORUM PA.
On the 20th of May, at FORUM PA 2010, Amartya Sen, will deliver a talk entitled “Ethic, democracy and public administration: the role of the human capital”.
Professor Sen is famous for having developed one of the most important theories of political economy of the last decades. Sen’s theory is based on the necessity of thinking of development not only as economic well-being or GDP, but as the real freedom of people to make things which are considered positive for their own lives.
The lectio magistralis is free but participants are asked to register at this web site.
After Sen’s speech there will be a debate between the managers of the most important institutions of graduate training schemes for the public sector.
The event is possible thanks to the collaboration between FORUM PA and Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione.
